Week 9 Results

While I'm going to get to the game in just a second here, I gotta give this it's own start. The fact that ND got the dagger shot on Tyrone's career at UW fills me with untold amounts of happiness. This is what happens when you spend more time on the course then on the recruiting trail. And good luck race baiting this time around. John Saunders and Pat Forde can't make this look any better for you. Just amusing. Wear it Tyrone. Onto the results:

Result: 33-7 ND, Win both. Just a complete domination. Washington didn't even cross over onto ND's side of the field until the last drive when they were going against ND's 2nd stringer. While I hated losing the shutout this game was an absolute beatdown. Once again my boy Michael Floyd wrecked shop with a TD and over 100 yards while James Aldridge came back from anonymity for 2 TDs and 84 yards on the ground. Some of the most fun I've had watching a football game in a long time.

Okie St @ Texas (-13)
Pick: Texas cover
Result: 28-24 Texas, Win SU, Loss ATS. Another great game to watch. Somehow Colt McCoy raised his already ridiculously high completion %. He was also good for 391 and 3 total TDs. Okie St put up a good fight but in the end it just wasnt enough. Road isn't getting any easier for the Horns tho as they gotta go to Lubbock to face Mike Leach's merry band of pirates. Gotta wonder if UT can keep this up.

Penn St (-2.5) @ Ohio St

Result: 13-6 PSU, win both. Wow, this game showed exactly why a Big TenLeven should not make the National Title game this year. This game was just flat out painful to watch. A 1 loss Big XII or SEC team should easily get in over PSU, even if they stay undefeated. Just atrocious.

Georgia @ LSU (-2)
Pick: UGA win
Result: 52-38 Georgia, win both. This game was a beatdown. The score makes it look closer than it was as LSU put some garbage time points up. Knowshon Moreno did all the stuff that makes me fear him as a destroyer of worlds. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why this team that lost to a sick Bama team is getting less respect that a Florida team that lost to Ole Miss...I guess I will be validated (or shut up) on saturday.

Texas Tech @ Kansas (pick em)
Pick: Texas Tech
Result:63-21 Tech, win both (free ATS for ya). Everybody said this is the 1st real team Tech has seen and should answer some questions. Well, the Red Raiders definitely made the Texas A&M and Nebraska game look like they were playing down to the level of their opponents as opposed to sucking. That said, there are still a lot of questions following this team. Guess they will answer them in what could be the program's biggest game ever. Undefeated, #1 coming to town, 1st time ever Gameday is there, chance to keep National Title hopes alive...Big big ballgame.
