Some good games this week, a few big shootouts, but mainly week 6 just set the table for this week. Let's get right to it shall we:
Record to date:
ATS:15-13
SU: 19-9
Stanford @ ND (-7)
Pick: ND Cover
Result: 28-21 ND, Win SU, push ATS. Luckily in Vegas I got this as a 6.5 point spread. The Irish started strong with JC having a record day for the 2nd straight week. Sadly, the Irish pulled off the gas and Stanford controlled the ball for a vast majority of the 2nd half, nearly coming back but coming up short at the end. While the O looked great (at least through the air) the running D is still non-existent to the point where I think I could break a 100 yards. Something will have to be done on the ground. On the upside the Irish recorded 5 sacks...maybe that idiot lineman should have kept his mouth shut.
Oregon @ USC (-17)
Pick: USC Cover
Result: 44-10 USC, Win both. Like I said, there was no doubt in my mind that USC would cruise in this game. Pete Carrol is vindictive and Oregon was dealing with too many injuries to really stand a chance in this one.
Auburn (-4.5) @ Vandy
Pick: Auburn Cover
Result: 14-13 Vandy, Lose both. That's it, I'm done doubting the Dores. Vanderbilt actually has a legit football team, currently holding the lead to the SEC East...There's a sentence I never saw myself typing. BTW, could Auburn's new offense be going any worse?? Yikes.
OSU (-2) @ Wisconsin
Pick:OSU cover
Result: 20-17 OSU, Win both. A close cover but a cover all the same. Beanie Wells came back and announced his presence with authority, running for 168 yds in the ball game against what has heretofore been a solid Badger D. Pryor notches a huge win in a tough environment that has to give the new starter some good confidence going on through the rest of the season.
Texas (-14) @ Colorado
Pick: Texas cover
Result: 38-14 Texas, Win both. Luckily I came down on the right side of the fence as to the spread. UT sent a message in the lead up to the Red River Shootout absolutely dominating Colorado. This week should prove to be a hell of a matchup. Not only that, but the best conference debate is getting interesting between the SEC and the Big XII as currently the younger conference holds the #1, 3, and 5 spots, not to mention another in the top 10.
Record this week:
ATS: 3-1-1
SU: 4-1
Record to date:
ATS: 18-14-1
SU: 23-10
And the rest of the results:
Johnny Chan:
Record this week: ATS: 4-0-1 SU: 5-0 Record to date: ATS: 21-11-1 SU: 26-7
Judson:
Record this week: ATS: 3-1-1 SU: 4-1 Record to date: ATS: 12-10-1 SU 16-7
Travis:
Record this week: ATS: 3-1-1 SU: 4-1 Record to date: ATS: 8-6-1 SU:6-4
Matt:
Record this week: ATS: 1-3-1 SU: 2-3 Record to date: Matt: ATS: 15-17-1 SU: 20-13
David:
Record this week: ATS: 0-4-1 SU: 3-2 Record to date: ATS: 12-13-1 SU: 17-9
There it is. Some interesting results last week but this week is one of the biggest of the year with two huge matchups in TX-OU and LSU-UF. Should be a fun one, rest up for it.
